Materials:

Weight 6 chunky yarn (I’m using bernat blanket) in two
colours. (red = colour A, white = colour B)

Size 6 mm crochet hook

Little piece of black yarn (to embroider the mouth)

Safety eyes
-
Yarn needle
-
Polyfil stuffing
-
Scissors
-
Stitch marker
Abbreviations:
MR = magic ring
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase
Dec = decrease
Ss = slip stitch
Starting with colour A (red)
Row 1: 10 sc in MR (10)
Row 2: (inc, sc) x 5 (15)
Row 3: 15 sc (15)
Row 4: ss in next stitch, ch 2, turn your work, 14 sc in back loop
only. Ss to the ch 2 you made at the beginning of the row. (15)
Fasten off
Cut a piece of white yarn, around 10 inches. Use the yarn needle to
embroider little white spots on the red part of the mushroom.
With colour B (White)
Row 5: This row is worked in the front loops of row 3. Ss to the last front loop available from row
3. Ch 1, 15 sc, still working in the front loops from row 3. (15)
Row 6 & 7: 15 sc (15)
Row 8: 7 dec, ss in next stitch (7)
Fasten off, leave tail a few inches
Put safety eyes between row 6 and 7, 3 stitches apart from each
other.
Use black yarn to embroider the mouth between the eyes.
Stuff the mushie, then sew remaining hole shut with the yarn needle
and remaining tail.
