Materials:
- Weight 4 worsted yarn (2 colours)
- 4 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Small safety eyes
- Poly fill stuffing
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
Abbreviations:
- MR – magic ring
- Ch - chain
- Sc – single crochet
- Inc – increase
- Dec – decrease
- Ss- slip stitch
- FO – fasten off
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds, do not join at the end of each row.
Colour A (Blue)
Row 1: 10 sc in MR (10)
Row 2: (sc, inc) x 5 (15)
Row 3: (2 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc (20)
Row 4: (inc, 3 sc) x 5 (25)
Row 5–7 (3 rows): 25 sc (25)
Row 8: 7 sc, ch 3, ss in same stich (first fin), 11 sc, ch 3, ss in same stich (second fin), 7 sc, (ch 3, ss in same stitch) x 2 (tail)
Colour B (white)
Row 9: 24 sc, 1 sc through the ss from the tail (25)
Add eyes between row 7 and 8 with the desired space between them.
Row 10: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (19)
Row 11: (sc, dec) x 6, sc (13)
Row 12: 7 dec
FO, leave tail a few inches long
Stuff whale
Close up the remaining hole by sewing it shut with the tail and the yarn needle.
